I love everything about this shot- the composition, Ayano's pose, the color of her kimono... I only wish I could see the back of her head! (I think the "osome" hair style reflects a change in her status? Maybe? I have no idea.)
Ayano is my favorite maiko now since Mamechiho turned her collar. She has a cute smile, and she genuinely seems to enjoy being a maiko. I hope she has a long and prosperous career!

Take Two
The root canal didn't quite go as planned. The dentist drilled away the filling, and found an infection underneath (gross). So they cleaned out the infection, "canalled" what they could of the root, then put a temporary crown on it. I haven an appointment in two weeks to finish the root canal.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, worse in some. It took several shots of numbing injections to get things going, and my gums were sore from all the injections. It actually wore off a bit during the procedure, and they had to inject me again! I'd brought my iPod with me, and the earbuds kept slipping out. But the chair had this awesome massager/heater in it, so I kept that thing going throughout the entire procedure.
Afterwards, I went and had ice cream. Probably not the best idea in the world, but hey.
