    Eye Rolling

The schools are closing Monday and Tuesday to prep space in case the schools are needed for evacuation. *shakes fist at Hurricane Ida*

    *happy sigh*

It's 77° and gorgeous outside- bright blue skies and mellow sunshine. I have all the windows open.

Went to the gym this morning to swim, only to find that there was a class in the pool. =\

I have a dental appointment at 11:00 to get a tooth fixed (it cracked!) Pray for me.

    Dia de los Muertos

    Feliz Dia de los Muertos!

I took the child trick-or-treating last night, and she made out better this year than last year (last year we did the neighborhood and two malls, this year we just did the neighborhood. Went to some houses we'd never gone to before (don't know why we never have!)

    A Journey to Suzhou

We went to visit the Mother in Law this weekend, and had a generally good time (except Saturday, when I was sleep-deprived, travel-lagged, dehydrated AND had a monster headache.) Saw some family, some hockey players, and some of the historic downtown area. Ate entirely too much food. Drank some really good wine. Played with an adorable 3 year old and tried to kidnap him from his father (no dice.)

    Greek Festival 2009

We went to Greekfest today. I have to admit, the main reason I went was for the food, which was amazing! I had spanakopita, tiropita, Greek salad, loukaniko (smothered in tzatziki sauce, chopped onions, shredded lettuce and wrapped in pita bread), and Greek fries (fried in olive oil and seasoned with Greek spices.) For dessert we had a slice of Grecian torte (three-layered chocolate cake with chocolate creme filling, dipped in chocolate) and a Napoleon (layered puff pastry filled with custard).

Calories don't count during Greekfest, right?

It was a perfect day- clear skies, bright sun, and a cool and breezy 69°. Welcome, Autumn!
