Modern Mary by Camille DeAngelis. It's about a woman who isn't able to have children, so she clones her grandmother. However, her grandmother's clone retains all of the grandmother's memories (to a certain age). According to her Web site, "If you like gothic stories, sci-fi/fantasy, suspense, literary fiction, or any combo thereof, ... you'll probably dig it."
The author has a flowing, compelling style, and a good sense of place; I would have probably would have finished the book on those merits alone. There are only a few things I didn't like about the book (one of them being one of the character's names as I loathe stupid names), but I'll definately be checking out any future books from this author.

Read
From yesterday- The Society of S- Susan Hubbard
Not a bad read; it's got vampires in it. And it takes place in Florida. I wish the book had been more about the actual society or about the scientific aspects of using sources other than blood than the protagonist's personal story.

Read
The Sultan's Seal - Jenny White
The fact that this book is wonderfully descriptive doesn't make up for the fact that it's poorly plotted.
